The South Shore Resort & Retreats is located at 2928 Middle Lake Road in Twin Lake, MI, 49457. It’s halfway up the West side of the mitten, if you will. The driving distance from Chicago and Detroit is approximately 3.5hrs. There are direct flights into Grand Rapids airport (GRR) from most major cities daily. The airport is about an hour’s drive from the resort. Additionally, there are now multiple daily flights between Muskegon (MKG) and O’Hare (ORD). The airport is about 20 minutes from the resort.

Pack for the season! In summer, bring your swimsuit, flip-flops, sunscreen, and a good book for the beach. In cooler months, cozy layers, hiking boots, and a favorite board game are perfect. We provide all the essentials—linens, towels, and kitchen basics—so you can travel light.

We love furry friends, but at this time, we ask that you leave them at home so everyone can enjoy a peaceful and allergy-friendly stay.

Each cabin has a fully equipped kitchen, and there are grills outside for that classic lakeside cookout. The Lodge has a communal dining space, and retreat guests will enjoy fresh, chef-prepared meals.

Yes, we have WiFi throughout the property. But we encourage you to unplug, step outside, and soak up the fresh air and good company.

Relax on the private beach, go kayaking, fish from the dock, ride bikes, play games, or gather around the fire pit for s’mores. Retreat guests will also have access to yoga, spa services, and guided outdoor experiences.

Yes! Between the beach, kayaks, bikes, game room, and wide-open spaces, there’s plenty to keep them happy and active. Just don’t be surprised if they forget all about their screens.
